Short answer

The official Grok Bot marketplace listed 35 unique templates when we checked on October 18, 2026: 4 Featured picks, 4 from the Grok Bot team and the rest in 8 categories. Templates are free to add, and adding one gives you your own editable copy. You still need a plan that includes Grok Bot.

How to add a Grok Bot template

Each listing on the official marketplace shows a name, a publisher, a one-line description and an Add link. Open a template link, choose Add to Grok Bot, review the context and integrations it uses, then choose Add Bot. That creates a separate copy in your account. You can edit your copy, and your changes do not touch the original.

Adding a template is free. Running the Bot uses the Grok Bot allowance on your plan, so check which plans include Grok Bot first. Our Grok Bot marketplace guide explains how templates differ from plugins and connectors.

As checked: This list reflects the marketplace as we checked it on October 18, 2026. Descriptions are our own summaries of each listing. Publisher names are the ones the marketplace shows. It does not say which outside publishers, if any, work for SpaceXSI.

Four templates sat in the Featured row. The marketplace shows no description for them, so we list only what is on the page.

What a template copies and what it leaves out

  • Copied: the Bot’s instructions, relevant memories and skills, and first-party plugins, which are reinstalled for you.
  • Left out: personal memories, secrets, private skills, custom code, MCP servers and scripts.

So a Bot that depends on an API key or an MCP server has to be set up again by you. Apps are connected from Connect Apps inside Grok Bot; our Grok Bot connectors list shows which ones are confirmed. Adding a shared Bot means accepting third-party bot terms. The person who shared it does not get your computer, logins or chat history. Since October 11, 2026, a Bot can also suggest and link a template that matches what you describe.

Official example roles that are not templates

SpaceXSI (formerly xAI) also publishes example roles at x.ai/bot/use-cases: 56 roles in 9 groups when we checked. These are setup ideas you build yourself, not one-click marketplace listings. Names that often get mistaken for templates include:

Example roleWhat SpaceXSI says it does
Sales OutboundResearches accounts overnight and drafts outreach for review.
Talent ScoutSources candidates, drafts outreach and schedules after approval.
Paid MediaRecommends budget changes and waits for approval.
Expense ManagerWeekly expense summaries, receipt logging and reminders about missing categories.
Bug ReproductionReproduces reported bugs in staging and delivers a repro pack.
Chief of StaffDaily digest of messages, calendar and notes against your priorities.
Subscription CleanerFinds unused subscriptions and unsubscribes from the ones you approve.

A few names, such as Executive Assistant and Sales Call Coach, exist both as an example role and as a template, with different setups. We found no listing called “Nope” or “Kin”, two names that appear in some online summaries. See Grok Bot use cases for which uses are official and which are user reports.

How to pick a Grok Bot template

  1. Start with the task. Pick the job you repeat every week, then scan the matching category above.
  2. Prefer drafts and approvals. Many listings say the Bot drafts and waits, such as Outbound Prospecting, Haggle Bot, Office Ops Desk and Alfred. Choose these for anything that sends, buys or changes data.
  3. Start read-only. Researchy, PM bot and Critiquito produce reports or feedback without editing anything. They are a low-risk first try.
  4. Check the apps it needs. The Add screen lists integrations. Anything that needs an API key or MCP server will need your own setup.
  5. Remember it is a copy. Edit the instructions to fit your work, and add approval rules before you set it on a routine. Our how Grok Bot works page covers routines and skills.

Questions people ask

Are Grok Bot templates free?

Yes. Adding a template costs nothing. The Bot then runs on the Grok Bot usage included in your plan. See Grok Bot pricing for the plans that include it.

How many templates are in the Grok Bot marketplace?

We counted 35 unique templates on October 18, 2026. Three of them appear in two sections, so a raw count of the page gives 38 entries.

Can I share my own Bot as a template?

Yes. Since August 28, 2026, Bots can be shared as templates from the Share menu, either team-only or public. Enterprise accounts default to team-only. Remove secrets first, because the link exposes the Bot's configuration. Plugins and MCP servers go through a separate form: see how to submit a plugin.

Do templates bring their plugins and logins?

First-party plugins are reinstalled for you. Secrets, MCP servers, custom code and scripts are not copied, and you never receive the sharer's logins or chat history.
