Grok Bot pricing: which plans include it and what you get
Grok Bot is not sold on its own. Here is every plan that includes it as of October 2026, the free trial, how the weekly limit works, and which plan makes sense for you.
Grok Bot comes with The X Subscription Premium ($30/month), Super ($100) and Ultra ($200) plans, plus Teams from $30 per user. The Free and $8 Plus tiers do not include it. There is a small one-time trial credit you can use within 7 days.
The plans that include Grok Bot
Since October 12, 2026, new customers get Grok Bot through The X Subscription, a single plan that bundles Grok, Cursor (the coding app the same company owns) and X Premium perks. Grok Bot starts at the Premium tier.
| Plan | Price / month | Grok Bot? | Usage (official wording) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | No | Limited usage |
| Plus | $8 | No | Grok Chat, Voice, Imagine and Build, plus Cursor and an X checkmark |
| Premium | $30 | Yes | 4x Plus usage |
| Super | $100 | Yes | 15x Plus usage |
| Ultra | $200 | Yes | 50x Plus usage |
| Teams | From $30 per user | Yes | Per-seat |
Prices are monthly, as shown on x.ai/pricing on October 18, 2026. Taxes and app-store pricing can differ.
If you already pay for an older plan
Older plans are no longer sold to new customers, but existing subscribers keep them. According to Cursor’s help pages, these still give access to Grok Bot: Cursor Pro, Pro+ and Ultra, self-serve Cursor Teams, a linked SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus or SuperGrok Heavy plan, a linked X Premium+ plan, Grok Business seats and Enterprise. If you have a Cursor plan and a linked Grok plan, they do not add up: Grok Bot uses whichever one gives you more weekly usage. Switching to The X Subscription is optional.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, but it is small. Cursor describes it as a one-time usage credit (measured in agent steps and tokens) that you have 7 days to use. It does not turn into a paid plan on its own, and once you spend it, it is gone. The Apple App Store has its own introductory offer, which does become a paid subscription unless you cancel. Android has no in-app trial.
How the weekly usage limit works
Paid X Subscription plans share one weekly usage pool across the Grok apps, the Grok tab on X and Cursor. No plan publishes a fixed number of Bot tasks: usage is measured in agent steps and tokens. When the pool runs out, you can pay for extra usage with prepaid credit (with optional auto top-up and a monthly cap). If extra usage is switched off, your Bots stop until the weekly reset.
That matters because Bots that run on schedules, or Bots that talk to each other, can use a lot. Early users reported burning a large share of a week’s allowance in a day. More on that on Grok Bot limits and problems.
Which plan should you pick?
- Just curious: use the free trial credit first. You do not need to pay to see how it feels.
- One or two daily jobs: Premium at $30 is the cheapest plan with Grok Bot and enough for light use.
- Several Bots on schedules, or heavy coding in Cursor: Super at $100 gives roughly 3.5 to 3.75 times Premium’s usage.
- Running a small team of Bots all day: Ultra at $200, or a Teams plan if several people need access.
If you only want the chatbot, not the agent, see Is Grok free? for what the Free and Plus tiers give you.
